Follow up to the question could I make the cut at this year’s US Open? Once again, and even more so, no way! The folks over at Dale’s Weston Lanes were gracious enough to put out US Open Patterns #1 & #2 for me to show you just how hard they really are. So in this video, I, a truly amateur bowler, take on US Open pattern #2 for three games.

This pattern is a take off of the old 40′ 1:1 ratio pattern that used to highlight the entire US open and it is anything but easy. The first few shots with the Storm Pitch Purple told me that down lane, the end of the pattern was very crisp and the gutter was sort of out of play. So I gave that a good chance, switched to my Roto Grip Idol Helios and then to my 900 Global Reality to grind out the first few games. Once a bit of friction started to develop I tried out my 900 Global Zen Master and lastly, my Roto Grip RST X-2.
