The World Series of Bowling begins it’s wrap up with match play and the stepladder finals of the Cheetah Championship and boy, what a finish. For a day that started so slow, quiet and simply exhausted, it sure ended in spectacular fashion.
In the round of 16, William Svensson led qualifying last week but missed a critical ten pin to lose to Andrew Anderson. Kris Koeltzow upset Tommy Jones in 5 games and Kris Prather kept doing what Kris Prather does… Strike a LOT.
In a terribly quiet round of 8, 3 of the four matches were so one sided there was almost no drama until Kris Prather lost his look on a tough pair allowing Andrew Anderson to come all the way back from an 0-2 deficit to win in five.
The show was much more satisfying. Milwaukee showed UP for this one, and one guy used that energy better than the rest. Congratulations to Kyle Sherman on his first singles title win!
